Staff COVID Scenarios


Resources

  1. Report COVID absence to direct supervisor.
  2. Staff member and supervisor will determine whether working from home.
  3. Upload your proof of positive results (link here).

Protocols: 

  1. Isolate at home for 5 days
  2. Return day 6,

Per Cal/OSHA ETS, employee must: 

  • Upload proof of negative test to return.
    • Return as soon as you can produce a negative test or after day 10.
  • Symptoms are improving.
  • Has been free of fever/fever reducing medications for 24 hours.
  • Wear a well fitting mask indoors and outdoors when around others through day 10.

Staff who share the same indoor airspace for 15 minutes or over a 24-hour period with a COVID-19 positive during their infectious period.

Asymptomatic: 

Exposed at School: 

  1. District instructs employee, in order to remain at work:
  2. Per CAL/OSHA ETS employees must:
    • Test on day 3, 4, or 5 and
    • Upload negative test and
    • Wear a well fitting mask indoors and outdoors when around others through day 10.

Exposed at Home

  1. District instructs employee, in order to remain at work:
  2. Per CAL/OSHA ETS employees must:
  • Test immediately and
  • Test again on day 3, 4, or 5 after household member ends their isolation and
  • Upload negative test result and
  • Wear a well fitting mask indoors and outdoors when around others through day 10.
  • If an employee is unwilling/unable to mask/test as required return on day 11.

Within 30 Days of COVID Infection

  1. Remain at work:
  2. Do not need to test
  3. Per CAL/OSHA ETS employees must wear a well fitting mask indoors and outdoors when around others through day 10.

**If symptoms develop, stay home, test, and follow symptomatic guidance.

  • Isolate until symptoms improve (no fever/fever reducing medicine for 24 hours)
  • A negative COVID-19 test is required to return to work.
  • Per Cal/OSHA ETS, employees must upload test results and wear a well fitting mask indoors and outdoors when around others from date of exposure through day 10.
