Elevating Learning: Modernization

Dr. Moisés G. Aguirre
Superintendent

The Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD) is committed to enhancing the educational experiences of our students, and our ongoing modernization efforts across multiple campuses reflect this dedication. Thanks to community support for passing the bond, we are creating environments that prioritize student well-being, engagement, and success.

For example, Olympian High School students will benefit from a new two-story, 12-classroom building and landscape improvements, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal. A welcoming and well-equipped environment contributes to a positive learning experience.

Castle Park High School is undergoing construction of a new stadium project and soon a new two-story building. These modern facilities will support academic excellence and foster a vibrant school spirit, cultivating a sense of belonging among students.

Mar Vista Academy and Eastlake High School will receive significant upgrades, including a new single-story multipurpose building for Career and Technical Education (CTE) and special education classrooms. These enhancements aim to create a more inclusive environment, ensuring all students feel valued and empowered during their time with us.

Bonita Vista High School will develop a new CTE building, providing essential resources and hands-on learning opportunities that prepare students for future careers. We are dedicated to equipping our students with the skills they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

As these projects and several others progress, the Sweetwater District remains committed to improving our facilities and educational offerings. With all these projects, we aim to enrich students’ experiences and foster a lifelong love for learning.
