SUHSD Superintendent’s End of Year Message

Superintendent's End of Year Message

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

As we come to the end of the 2023-2024 school year, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the remarkable achievements and dedication displayed by our students and educators in the Sweetwater District.

I want to express my sincere appreciation to our dedicated staff and families for their unwavering support throughout the school year. Your commitment to our students’ success and well-being is truly commendable, and I am grateful for the collaborative spirit that defines our school community.

I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all graduates and students who have successfully promoted to the next academic level. Your hard work, resilience, and achievements have not gone unnoticed, and I am incredibly proud of each and every one of you.

I would be remiss if I did not highlight the outstanding student achievements and the exceptional work of our educators throughout the year. Your hard work, creativity, and passion for learning have made a significant impact on the lives of our students, and I commend you for your continuous dedication to excellence.

I am pleased to announce that the new school year will commence on July 24th, marking the beginning of another exciting academic journey for our school community.

In an effort to support our students during the summer break, we will be implementing a Seamless Summer Meals Program from June 10th to June 28th at select locations. This program will provide free meals to all children 18 years and younger, ensuring that no child goes hungry during the summer months. For more information on locations and schedules, please visit www.sweetwaterschools.org and stay updated on summer happenings through our district social media accounts.

Furthermore, our summer school program will run from June 10th to June 28th at six school locations, offering valuable educational opportunities for students seeking to enhance their learning over the summer.

As we approach the summer break, I encourage all staff and families to make the most of this time, create lasting memories, and engage in activities that rejuvenate the mind and spirit.

Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to our shared mission of empowering every student to reach their full potential.

Warm regards,

Moisés G. Aguirre, Ed.D.
