Sweetwater District Receives Stable Outlook Rating from Moody’s Investors Service

The Sweetwater Union High School District is proud to announce the successful upgrade of the district’s issuer rating system and stable outlook status. On Friday, September 9, 2022, Moody’s investor service announced a significant accomplishment of the district’s general obligation rating up two notches to A1 from A3 and issuer rating to A2 from Baa1.

“This positive outcome has come largely due to the district’s collaborative work on fiscal matters,” said Superintendent Dr. Moises Aguirre. “Receiving this rating is the beginning of a new chapter for the district, and a direct reflection of the dedicated work, strength and stability of our staff and community.”

The stable outlook status illustrates the district’s thoughtful long-term planning, and the districts commitment to fiscal responsibility, stability and budget planning.
